A 64-year-old woman was killed Thursday morning after the truck she was riding in collided head-on with an SUV along a Wasilla road.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -

Troopers said Delynn Brouillet of Anchorage was pronounced dead at the scene near mile 15.5 of Knik Goose Bay Road, according to Alaska State Troopers. The incident took place north of Fish Creek near Gleason Lane shortly after 5 a.m. Troopers said officers responded around 5:20 a.m. to a report of a head-on collision.

Brouillet was riding with a male driver of the Chevrolet Silverado, which troopers said lost control on icy roads, leading to the head-on collision with the Toyota Sequia.The roadway was reopened shortly after 10 a.m., according to troopers.Editor’s note: An earlier story said the crash happened near the beginning of KGB.
