The Anchorage Police Department is investigating a homicide that was initially an assault in August 2024.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -
On Aug. 2, 2024, at 12:06 a.m., APD officers were dispatched to the 3100 block off A Street in response to reports of an assault. When officers arrived, they contacted a male adult who had sustained injuries to his upper body. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.After an extended stay in the hospital, Hamilton’s family informed authorities that he passed away on Aug. 13.
The Medical Examiner has ruled the death a homicide. No charges have been filed, and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Detective LaPorte at 786-8518.
