Anchorage police charged a man with manslaughter after shooting and killing another man late Sunday night, according to investigators.

Police said the man was shot in the “upper body” and died after being taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds. Hill was later taken in for questioning by police and jailed on charges of manslaughter at the Anchorage Correctional Complex. Police detailed that Hill was riding in a vehicle with others in a parking lot when the group got into the altercation with a second group of people walking along Dale Street.Police said investigators are still working to find a motive behind the shooting.Editor’s note: The location of the shooting was updated to correct information originally provided by the Anchorage Police Department.
