Anchorage Assembly approves contract for legal services in Demboski lawsuit
The city said, the annual hydrant flushing causes twice the amount of normal water to run though the water mains. The increased water pressure, scores the pipes, resulting in the discolored water. Minerals found in the pipe such as magnesium and iron, causes the discoloration.
