ANC has seen the error of its ways – Ramaphosa
While campaigning in Tshwane on Friday, Ramaphosa told the people that the ANC was a changed party that would not hesitate to fire councillors and mayors who go against the party’s policies. The Tshwane region has seen the fiercest battle for positions, which culminated in the killing of an ANC councillor candidate three weeks ago.The ANC is changing steps. We are changing in every possible way. We want disciplined members, people with integrity and who are devoted to work for our people.
We don’t want councillors and mayors to work for themselves. We don’t want councillors and mayors who will go and steal public money or be involved in corrupt activities. We are a changed organisation and we are clear about that. He attributed their loss in Tshwane to the infighting within the ANC during the 2016 local government elections.
