The Portland Trail Blazers rolled into the play-in game with momentum, winning six of their eight seeding games, including their final three.

Memphis deserves credit for not crumbling when it fell behind 30-14 in the first quarter. Behind rookie of the year front-runner Ja Morant, the Grizzlies regained the lead, outscoring the Blazers 42-31 in the third quarter for a 94-89 lead headed into the fourth quarter.Portland had too much offense for Memphis.
