The unique opportunity to capture this eco zeitgeist on the streets of New York isn’t lost on the Stooping NYC founders, either. “One of us is originally from Toronto and this is just not something that exists in that city,” they say. “Putting things out on the stoop for people to come and find before a garbage man picks them up, it’s just not a thing.” They recognize the phenomenon as part of New York’s particular culture.
