An inevitable romance in Onyx Storm could help flesh out two underused characters from Fourth Wing and add something new to the series. An excerpt from the third book in The Empyrean Series from Cosmopolitan has revealed several details and glimpses of where the characters currently are in this action-filled story and what new problems they are facing.

✕ Remove Ads Violet and Xaden's story in Iron Flame is entertaining but overwhelming. That chaos will likely not dissipate from their romantic arc or the main plot as the Venin close in. Though seeing the two main characters navigating this adds depth to them both, Sawyer and Jesinia's romance would give audiences a reprieve with a meaningful friends-to-lover leaning storyline.
