On Friday, the direct-to-consumer wunderkind company launched Bubblewrap Eye + Lip Plumping Cream, a rich moisturizer designed to be used specifically on lips and undereyes.
Housed in a diminutive 0.74-oz metal can with a pump-top dispenser, the buttery white cream feels soft and plush on contact — but also airy and light, rather than dense or balm-like. Described by the brand as a "water in oil emulsion" that "starts as a rich cream, then breaks down," it's spiked with moisturizing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, avocado oil and squalane, as well as peptides .
I got my hands on a sample from the brand to test ahead of its official launch, and have been smoothing it diligently over the recommended areas — undereyes and lips — for the past three days.
As for the eye area, I typically shy away from eye creams that are too rich; I'm prone to milia . So I was a little worried about what Glossier's formula might do — but I went full speed ahead nonetheless, all in the name of beauty editor duty. And honestly, I was surprised by how much I liked this stuff as an eye cream.
