LDS missionary dies in Africa.
A 24-year-old missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in West Africa has died after suffering a “sudden medical episode.”
Tinotenda Watson Maumbe, who was serving in the faith’s Benin Cotonou Mission, fell in his apartment Wednesday and injured his head after the episode, church spokesperson Sam Penrod said in a“We send our love and deepest sympathies to Elder Maumbe’s family and friends, as well as his companion and the missionaries he has served alongside,” Penrod said. “We pray that each will be comforted and feel the peace of the Savior as they remember and honor Elder Maumbe and his faithful service.
