In late 2025, she revealed a 50-pound weight loss that she attributed to managing Cushing syndrome, a condition caused by excess cortisol that can lead to facial puffiness often called "moon face.
" She traced the diagnosis to online criticism about her appearance, which prompted medical investigation and ultimately led to identifying the syndrome. Schumer explained that steroid injections she had received contributed to the condition. The comedian, mother to son Gene, has also openly discussed experimenting with GLP-1 weight-loss drugs like Ozempic and Mounjaro. She previously tried Wegovy but discontinued due to severe nausea.
More recently, she used a telehealth service, Midi Health, to access Mounjaro, praising its effects and even investing in the company.
