Amy Schumer shared her experience with Ozempic, a medication primarily used for Type 2 diabetes but increasingly prescribed off-label for weight loss. During a recent appearance on 'The Howard Stern Show,' the 43-year-old comedian revealed that she tried Ozempic nearly three years ago but had to stop due to severe side effects. Schumer explained that she has a gene, GDF15, which makes her highly susceptible to nausea, a side effect she experienced intensely during her pregnancy.
She stated that while Ozempic helped her lose 30 pounds quickly, the debilitating nausea, vomiting, and lack of energy made it unmanageable. She emphasized that despite the weight loss, the negative impact on her daily life outweighed the benefits.Schumer isn't the only celebrity who has spoken openly about their Ozempic experience. James Corden recently shared on his podcast that while he tried Ozempic, it didn't work for him. He realized that his eating habits weren't driven by hunger and the medication simply suppressed his appetite. Corden admitted to indulging in large amounts of food even when he wasn't hungry, suggesting that his relationship with food went beyond basic physiological needs.
