Several cars derailed Monday after an Amtrak train struck a dump truck at a public crossing in Mendon, Missouri, Amtrak said in a news release. The train was traveling from Los Angeles to Chicago with about 243 passengers, and there were"early reports of injuries," according to the release.Amtrak is aware of the incident with Train 4 and is working with local authorities.Please continue to check back for updates.
