The Associated Press has declared Democratic incumbent Jesus “Chuy” Garcia the winner in the Chicago-based 4th Congressional District.

Garcia sought a third term in the newly configured district now centered around his Southwest Side base, facing off against Republican James Falakos and Ed Hershey of the Working Class Party.While Garcia was the overwhelming favorite in Tuesday’s election, he may have a bigger political prize in mind.toward announcing a run for Chicago mayor, amending his campaign committee to support a City Hall run and filing an economic disclosure statement.
Falakos owns a heating and air conditioning and a solar power company. He advocates for reduced government spending to lower inflation, and nuclear power for energy independence.
