The island of Maui is experiencing strong wildfires, displacing passengers traveling to and from at Kahlului Airport.

“At this time, we expect to operate all of today’s scheduled flights to and from OGG and have added an additional flight and upgraded an aircraft today to ensure customers evacuating OGG are able to do so,” Jantz said. “To provide additional flexibility, American issued a travel alert, allowing customers whose travel plans are affected by the wildfires to rebook without fees, cancel or receive a refund.
