The American Legion partnered with Nuvision Credit Union to hold their sixth annual Veteran’s Day Luncheon Saturday, November 9, at Jack Henry Post 1 in Midtown.
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -
The luncheon began at noon, and Nuvision employees and volunteers served lunch alongside workers with the American Legion. During lunch, Nuvision also presented two $1500 donations to the National Warrior Foundation and American Legion Post 34 to support and honor Veterans and active duty Service members.
“Our veterans look forward to it, it’s all veterans. It’s not just American Legion, it’s VFW,” said American Legion Commander Charlene Martin. “They look forward to coming together, where they can meet other veterans, like-minded veterans, their comrades here at this event. This is, as you can hear the noise behind me, this is exciting. They’re entertaining each other. They’re just excited to be here, and I’m excited to have the house full today.
