American Idol Winner, Maddie Poppe, to perform at the Musical Instrument Museum this Friday, August 25! Megan Danielle will be the opening act; performances will include unreleased songs!
PHOENIX — Maddie Poppe is coming to the Valley! The season 16 American Idol winner will hit the stage this Friday at the Musical Instrument Museum. Here's what Poppe shared with ABC15 on her Phoenix concert!
“I've been Musical Instrument Museum before and it's one of my favorite venues to play... and just the production is always top notch,” said Poppe. “I'm bringing a full band this year. And we are doing all the new songs that I've released this year, and a few unreleased songs that are going to be coming out later this year. And then, of course, we're doing all kinds of songs from my previous albums also.
What else should you expect heading into the show? “A lot of my older stuff is more folksy and Americana and a lot of my newer stuff is more pop and R&B. So, there's definitely a spectrum in between the two that you'll be hearing throughout the show,” said Poppe.“So, we have Megan Danielle, from this season, she was the runner up on American Idol. She opens the show and has a bunch of great unreleased music that's not been heard before,” said Poppe.

Tash Sultana: North American Tour 2023Since they broke through into the Australian music scene more than a decade ago, Tash Sultana has been nothing less than a musical force. The gender-fluid multi-instrumentalist, producer, singer-songwriter, engineer and entrepreneur has carved out every step in their musical journey over the last 15 years, which has taken them from performing open night mics all over the country, busking the streets of Melbourne to releasing platinum records, accumulating billions of streams, gathering nominations from across the globe, winning awards and selling hundreds of thousands of concert tickets worldwide.Their debut album Flow State landed in 2018 and quickly became Gold certified, and spawned Platinum and Gold records with singles 'Mystik' and 'Murder to the Mind.' Their acclaimed second record Terra Firma landed in 2021, and garnered widespread praise for Tash’s raw and reflective songwriting and ambitious musical arrangements. Like everything before it, the entirety of the record was carved by Tash – every instrument that was played, every bit of musical arrangement, every bit of production. Please note: this is a Rady Shell Rental event presented by AEG Goldenvoice. The San Diego Symphony Orchestra does not appear on this concert event.
