Lionel Richie got to perform for King Charles at his coronation earlier this month and got the monarch on 'American Idol.' He revealed the royal is actually quite the funny man.
The Prince of Wales, the eldest son of King Charles III and the late Princess Diana, is heir to the British throne. The king, the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II, was crowned on May 6 at London's Westminster Abbey.Lionel Richie knows all too well., Richie admitted the best part of the entire ordeal was being able to capture the comedic essence of King Charles and share it with the world.
"You always think you know someone, but you never assume," Richie said of making the bold decision to ask the royal to be on his singing competition television show in the U.S. Lionel Richie, left, disclosed tidbits about King Charles personality that most people are not privy to."He's a secret comedian, I'll put that out there," Richie admitted.
"Are you planning to do this all night long," the king joked, referencing Richie's hit song. "I just wanted to check how much, how long you’ll be using this room for," he added with a chuckle.
