On Sunday, the first contestant, Sara Beth Liebe, left abruptly after she said she was embarrassed over a joke Katy Perry made during her audition that many have called “mom-shaming.” “This opportunity is really rad, but this is actually going to be my last performance, because my heart’s at home,” she said,As Liebe left the stage, the judges tried to convince her to stay, but Liebe ultimately wound up telling a producer that she felt it was the best decision to go home to her family, even if she did make it to the next round.The following day, the daughter of Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart, Kaya Stewart, also abruptly left the show.
