A North Carolina developer is selling parcels of land to 'patriots' and will require them to fly the American flag
"We're handling the American flag like an architectural element," Fankhauser said, per WCNC."We are installing it similarly to a fixture."
Residents should be able to move in early next year and will be required to display the flag at all times, WCNC reported. "And so those that agree with what we're doing will know it up front," Fankhauser said, according to WCNC."Those that may not agree with it will know about it up front, and it will come as a secret to nobody."
According to its website, the Gastonia development will be"built around a love of family and country, and the positive nature of looking forward while respecting the past." The movement is not aligned with any political party, Fankhauser said. "I've also said it's very important for us to distance ourselves from any political movement, any political party, and any political figures," he said, according to WCNC. "We are completely detached from that."Subscribe to push notifications
