In a 90-minute-long Facebook video, Henyard ranted against her believed enemies, saying that the attacks against her lavish spending and other activities were a distraction.
“I will be seeking arrests for individuals involved,” she announced. “I will be pressing charges. It’s a lot. And that’s just me telling you a little bit because all this pointing the finger at Tiffany, or lying on me — I’m over it. Now, it’s time for me to speak. Henyard was elected mayor of the Chicago suburb in 2021 in a landslide, winning over 80% of the vote. She has since come under scrutiny over her lavish personal spending of taxpayer money and erratic behavior. She has refused growing calls to step down, instead announcing that she will run for reelection.of Henyard’s finances.
The former Chicago mayor found Dolton’s general fund balance at a $3.65 million deficit. When Henyard took office in April 2022, the town had a surplus of $5.6 million.Federal agents are investigating Dolton Village Hall, and Henyard has been forbidden from making appointments to village posts without the board of trustees’ approval.
