Though not yet available in stores, the campaign images have been released online. Shot in black and white, a bevy of models poses together with the New York City setting functioning as a character in and of itself.With images transitioning from the leather-clad streets of the city to the strobe-light-filled nightclub, the campaign evokes a feeling of New York in the ‘90s — the halcyon days of the iconic Supermodels.To accompany the video, the still images double down on the retro feeling. One particular draws inspiration from Peter Lindburg’s famous photo, “The Wild Ones” , featuring Cindy Crawford, Tatiana Patitz, Helena Christensen, Linda Evangelista, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Karen Mulder and Stephanie Seymour., “I think it’s really important as a young queer designer to not just build my own brand, be independent in the industry, and produce fashion garments, but also to tell stories and be visible.” To that, he added, “I invited my mom to the video shoot because I wanted her to see how big a project it is for us. She was there on set with us for the two days that we filmed, and she was trying on the clothes. ‘I can finally wear LdSS,’ she said.
