In a sure sign sales of its Zen 5 Ryzen 9000 processors aren't selling well, AMD has announced sweeping price cuts for every one of its currently available models from the Ryzen 5 9600X up to the Ryzen 9 9950X . The price cuts appear to be worldwide with US and UK pricing already confirmed.
The biggest price cut is to its flagship Ryzen 9 9950X, which sees a price drop of up to $50, which would see the launch price fall from $599 to $549. That's a massive $150 lower than the launch price of the Ryzen 9 7950X too. On Amazon the Ryzen 9 9950X is currently retailing for $599 but that's following a recent $50 price cut which may well be the one mentioned here. Pricing in the UK will see that price fall from £610 to £560.
Next the Ryzen 9 9900X sees a $30 drop from $499 to $469, undercutting the Ryzen 9 7900X's launch price by $90 barely eight weeks after its own launch. In fact, the CPU has already dipped lower than this, currently retailing for just $429 on.
Next the Ryzen 7 9700X, which cost $359 at launch will now cost $329 thanks to a $30 discount and sure enough it's fallen even further thanks to the discount, currently available for $326 onFinally the six-core Ryzen 5 9600X will also see a $30 price cut from $279 to $249, which is $50 less than its predecessor cost at launch.
