Pricing for AMD's Ryzen 9000 Zen 5 processors, which are due to launch next week, has been revealed by a series of retailers. Spotted by @momomo_us on X, formerly Twitter , it appears that it's good news for enthusiasts as all of the CPUs are cheaper than the launch prices of the Ryzen 7000 series.The pricing is not official with AMD not confirming anything but specifications and launch dates yet, but both Newegg and BestBuy have apparently revealed the same figures.
By comparison, Intel's Core i5 14600K costs $290, the Core i7-14700K costs $320 and Core i9-14900K costs $550, all of which are likely be soundly beaten by the new AMD CPUs in most tests. The Ryzen 9000 launch was delayed last week due to quality issues, which may have been a simple as a typo on the CPU itself. Instead of launching on July 31st, the launch is split in two, with the Ryzen 5 9600X and Ryzen 7 9700X launching on August 8th and the two Ryzen 9 models on August 15th.
