Launching a day after Nvidia's RTX 4060 Ti, the AMD Radeon RX 7600 costs just $269, but should you buy it?

One advantage AMD has enjoyed with its older cards is their having 10GB of video memory or higher above the RX 6700, which retails for less than $300. The issue with the RX 7600 is that it only has 8GB as well as a 128-bit memory bus. These are the same as the RX 6600, but the new card does have 32MB of 2nd generation Infinity Cache as opposed to 1st generation cache on the RX 6600, plus it has faster memory too, delivering 476.9GB/sec of bandwidth compared to 412.0GB/sec.

Below in Microsoft Flight Simulator, the RX 7600 was again a little faster than the RTX 3060 and just about stayed out of the drop off point above which there was a fair amount of bottlenecking elsewhere in the system. However, that wasn't the case at 1440p in this demanding game, where the RTX 3060 Ti was noticeably quicker, although again the RTX 3060 was far slower.

Below in Forza Horizon 5 the RX 7600 matched the RTX 3060 Ti while beating the RTX 3060 at 1080p and a similar performance happened at 1440p too.
