AMC Chief Executive Adam Aron scored yet another banner year in 2021, with total compensation of nearly $19 million. Aron’s total 2021 compensation was $18.9 million, after $20.9 million in 2020 and $9.67 million in 2019.
Aron’s total comp during the past two years was more than the total of the four previous years, despite the “enormous impacts” the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the theatrical exhibition industry and its employees.
Meanwhile, stock awards, which includes the value of granted time-vesting restricted stock units and performance-vesting performance stock units , fell to $11.44 million from $14.80 million the year before.
