The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for wind, categorized as a 'danger to life', affecting Liverpool Cathedral and the surrounding region. The warning is in place from 3am to 9pm on Saturday, December 7, coinciding with the ongoing 'The Light Before Christmas' event. Strong gusts up to 80mph are expected around exposed areas, while inland areas could face gusts of 60 to 70mph. The warning comes as Storm Darragh moves eastwards.
A message has been issued to ticketholders visiting The Light Before Christmas spectacle at Liverpool Cathedral, after the Met Office issued an amber weather warning for the region. Forecasters previously issued a yellow weather warning which is in place from 3pm today, Thursday, December 5, to Sunday, December 8. However, in an update today, the Met Office has issued a 'danger to life' amber weather warning for wind.

This year's show will retell the Nativity story through the eyes of the Luxmuralis team's sculptor, Peter Walker, and composer, David Harper.
