In an update posted at 10:29 a.m., Amazon said "We have confirmed multiple AWS services experienced network connectivity issues in the US-EAST-1 Region. We are seeing early signs of recovery for the connectivity issues and are continuing to investigate the root cause." Earlier in the morning, around 6:35 a.m., Amazon said “the underlying DNS issue has been fully mitigated, and most AWS Service operations are succeeding normally now,” the statement said. “Some requests may be throttled while we work toward full resolution. Additionally, some services are continuing to work through a backlog of events such as Cloudtrail and Lambda.” AWS reported that its Eastern U.S. region is experiencing the disruptions, and engineers are currently working to determine the cause of the problem., users reported issues with various sites and apps, including online broker Robinhood, the McDonald's app, and Snapchat.
