Rebecca Yarros' fantasy novel The Fourth Wing, which has gained a substantial following on TikTok and could potentially become a major rival to Game of Thrones, finally has a showrunner for its much-anticipated Amazon Prime Video adaptation.
Released in May 2023, the book's popularity quickly led to TV adaptation confirmation by October and has since been followed by sequel, The Iron Flame.According to Variety, Moira Walley-Beckett has now been named as showrunner for the project. A third chimed in: "Also worked on breaking bad, which is what excites me the most!! I feel like it's definitely in good hands."
The third book in the series, Onyx Storm, is slated for release in January 2025. Yarros has plans for the series to span five books in total.
