SAN ANTONIO — An Amazon driver was attacked by a dog outside a home on the south side Monday afternoon.say the driver was delivering a package when a dog jumped over the fence and attacked the driver. The dog's owner came out to help stop the dog, police said. The driver had several facial injuries and called emergency crews. He was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
The dog's owner was cooperative with police and willingly surrendered the dog to Animal Care Services. The dog is now in rabies quarantine pending an investigation. The dog is described as an American Staffordshire Terrier. Police said there were no prior calls or incidents involving this dog. The owner is not facing criminal charges at this time, but did receive citations from Animal Care Services.KENS 5 has brought numerous firsts to South Texas television, including being the first local station with a helicopter, the first with its own Doppler radar and the first to air a local morning news program.
