Soaring through space -- at 200 million light-years per second.
Scientists have created a breathtaking three-dimensional visualization of a recent James Webb Space Telescope survey of ancient galaxies.
The clip takes you flying past thousands of galaxies near the Big Dipper constellation, turning back the clock billions of years at 200 million light-years per second. At the end of the video, you arrive at Maisie’s Galaxy, which is a whopping 13.4 billion light-years away from Earth — meaning we're looking at light originating a mere 390 million years after the Big Bang. The James Webb Space Telescope has already spied some of the most ancient galaxies ever observed sincelast year.
