The ending of the Ahsoka season finale makes the darkest Star Wars theory more likely, and an incredible piece of fan art brings this idea to life.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Summary Stunning new Star Wars fan art beautifully visualizes the darkest theory for Ahsoka season 2, showcasing the horrific yet exciting possibility. Ahsoka season 1 ended with the late Ray Stevenson's Baylan Skoll finding statues of the Force Gods of Mortis, which may foreshadow the return of the most chilling character from the Star Wars Legends continuity.
"Comic, SW and all pop culture enthusiast" @Melticaus on Twitter shared their incredible artwork of Ahsoka Tano and Abeloth, whose sinister reflection spans across the dark waters: This poster is based on the popular theory that Star Wars is setting up Abeloth in Ahsoka, which seems more likely with the return of the Mortis Gods.
Abeloth Would Be A Perfect Villain For Ahsoka Season 2 Ahsoka and the other Star Wars TV shows have already brought back several elements from Legends, and Abeloth would be a perfect antagonist for season 2. Known as "the Mother" among the Force Gods of Mortis, Abeloth was transformed into a dark Force being while also being twisted to madness, so the Father and his children abandoned her and created a prison to contain her.
The dark power calling to Baylan is somehow connected to the Mortis Gods, so it would make sense if Abeloth were summoning Baylan to her prison. Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and now Ahsoka all focus on the Mortis Gods, so bringing Abeloth into the mix is the next logical step. She would be an unstoppable Force that would drastically raise the stakes in Ahsoka, but she could also return to plague Rey's New Jedi Order as she did Luke's in Legends.
