In 2014, viewers were introduced to the rebel cell on Lothal when they tuned in for the first episode of Star Wars Rebels. The Twi'lek Hera Syndulla was a crucial member of the team, alternating between a leader and a mother figure to the younger rebels. Originally voiced by Vanessa Marshall, she's now played in live-action by Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

Hera Is One Of The Rebellion's Greatest Leaders She may not appear in the movies, but Hera Syndulla is one of the greatest heroes in the Rebel Alliance. She played a key role in the Liberation of Lothal, an event that happened shortly before the destruction of the first Death Star and the advent of the Galactic Civil War. Hera became seen as a key leader, working from Yavin 4 for a time and then continuing to fight on the front lines throughout the conflict.
