Amarc Resources Ltd. ('Amarc') and Freeport-McMoRan Mineral Properties Canada Inc. ('Freeport') have jointly discovered a new, high-grade gold-rich porphyry copper-gold-silver ('Cu-Au-Ag') deposit called AuRORA at Amarc's 100% owned JOY Copper-Gold District in British Columbia. This discovery marks a significant milestone for both companies.
Amarc Resources Ltd. (Amarc) is thrilled to announce the discovery of the AuRORA deposit, a high-grade, gold-rich porphyry copper-gold-silver (Cu-Au-Ag) system located within its 100% owned JOY Copper-Gold District in British Columbia . Freeport-McMoRan Mineral Properties Canada Inc. (Freeport) is fully funding exploration work programs at JOY in exchange for an interest in the project, with Amarc serving as the operator.
The discovery was made in hole JP24057, the first ever drilled at AuRORA, which intersected a new porphyry Cu-Au-Ag system exhibiting high and continuous gold grades. Following this initial success, Amarc, in collaboration with Freeport, systematically drilled with three core rigs, expanding the understanding of the deposit's extent and potential. This press release highlights the results from discovery hole JP24057 and six subsequent holes drilled approximately 100 meters apart along east-west section 7800N. These drill holes established a 600-meter wide zone of porphyry mineralization encountered from near-surface and open to lateral expansion, characterized by excellent lateral and vertical continuity. Final compilations and confirmatory analyses from six additional holes drilled at AuRORA along east-west section 7900N, a 100-meter step out to the north of section 7800N, are nearing completion and will be released shortly. These additional results are expected to demonstrate similar encouraging grades and characteristics to those reported in this release. The AuRORA Deposit Discovery is situated within the expansive Northwest Gossan (NWG) Target area at the northwest end of a potential 15-kilometer mineralized trend extending southeast towards the GAP and SWT Targets. The NWG Target is outlined by a 3.7-kilometer Induced Polarization (IP) anomaly (>14mV/V) with coincident Cu, Au, Mo and Ag anomalies identified in soils and rocks. Initial 2024 drill testing focused primarily on an internal zone of higher (>20mV/V) IP chargeability within the NWG Target area. A significant portion of the NWG Target area remains unexplored. The AuRORA discovery represents a culmination of years of dedicated research by the Amarc team coupled with Freeport's unwavering belief in the JOY District's potential for high-grade porphyry gold-copper deposits. The discovery arrives during a period of positive market sentiment for gold, copper, and silver, further enhancing Amarc's appeal as an investment opportunity.

Cascadia Mining Announces Decision to Terminate Option AgreementsCascadia Mining has decided not to continue its option agreements for the PIL and Sands of Time properties. While exploration work at PIL identified several anomalies, drilling did not reveal significant copper-gold mineralization. Sands of Time showed molybdenum and copper anomalies but lacked significant gold, indicating the absence of a surface gold-bearing porphyry. Cascadia will now focus its exploration efforts on its flagship Catch property, which has shown promising results with the discovery of a new copper-gold porphyry and a high-grade epithermal gold-silver outcrop.
