Just in time for spring break, an Alvin farm that invites families to pick their own...
At the festival at Froberg's Farm, 3601 W. Texas 6, you can fill your bucket with berries before having them weighed for purchase at $4 a pound. During festival weekends, the farm will have attractions such as an emoji cannon, duck races, a paintball gallery as well as a playground for children that was built by the Froberg family.
The entrance fee is $3 for the festival, which will be from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with the last admission at 4:30 p.m. Children age 2 and under are admitted free of charge. Kids age 12 and under must be supervised by an adult at all times.The farm's manager, Tyler Froberg, recommends that you call ahead to confirm there are enough strawberries to pick. He also suggests that visitors wear comfortable clothes and shoes they don't mind getting dirty.
