Altitude-Comcast blackout: Sports network launches campaign to pressure cable provider to broadcast games by bysajahindi

One day before the Avalanche unveils its 2022 Stanley Cup championship banner inside Ball Arena, Altitude TV launched a campaign to pressure Comcast to return the regional sports network back to its subscribers.

The network will display a digital billboard as part of the “Why Did Comcast Dump Us?” campaign on a truck that will move along Interstate 25 and in Denver. The billboard will count the days since Comcast has not responded to the latest offer from Altitude TV to end the blackout of Avalanche, Nuggets, Rapids and Mammoth game broadcasts on the Front Range.

Matt Hutchings, CEO of KSE Media Ventures, the parent company of Altitude, told The Denver Post after a news conference Tuesday that the company wants to “give a message to our fans, remind them of what we’ve been doing, what our efforts are and to reinforce the fact that we’ve made a very fair and simple offer to Comcast to put us back on the air.”

They also asked customers and fans to contact Comcast Customer Service and sign a petition demnanding Comcast carry Altitude Sports. “As you can see, it’s been nearly 1,500 days since the network’s been off Comcast,” Hutchings said. “It’s been nearly 73 days since we made that offer, and we’ve not heard back from Comcast.”
