While Amazon traffic has continued to climb, the true standout amongst e-commerce companies has been Etsy. Perhaps as part of an increased effort among out-of-work people to launch businesses of their own, the website's weekly traffic is up 50% throughout May.
eBay, meanwhile, was the lone lagger in the bunch, with only single-digit growth starting in mid-April. It appears that the thing people buying luxury goods enjoy the most is being seen buying luxury goods. It should be no surprise that video conferencing platforms are the big winners of the pandemic. Zoom's stocksince people began using it to replace their favorite watering holes and dinner tables for happy hours and family gatherings.
While Ulta's online traffic has mostly fallen since the outbreak, Sally Beauty's web traffic in April more than doubled, and Bath & Body Works saw a surge in traffic as well.SimilarWeb saw a big split in what it calls its department store category.
