Alsons Power Group, a key player in the Mindanao energy market, announced the appointment of Antonio Alcantara as its new chief executive, effective April 1, 2024, following the retirement of Tirso Santillan.
Alcantara graduated from the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration. “I am honored to have the opportunity to lead Alsons Power Group. Our group is more than just a business; we are a steadfast partner to Mindanao, dedicated to fostering environmental sustainability, uplifting local communities, and driving economic growth,” said Alcantara.
The group said it is preparing for the commercial operations of its 14.5-MW hydroelectric plant in Maasim, Sarangani as it diversifies its energy resources.
