New A390_B concept will provide first look at sleek four-seat GT due in 2025
Alpine will reveal the A390 Beta concept on 11 October, providing a first look at its upcoming Porsche 911 rival. It will be a four-seat electric sports car heavily inspired by the Alpine A310 , with a rakish, low-set silhouette. The concept's design is exepcted to closely resemble the road-going A390 that's due to enter production next year, as with the previous A290 Beta and the finished A290 hot hatch.
As previously reported by Autocar, the production A390 will be based on the same Alpine Performance Platform as the next-generation Alpine A110, serving as a more practical foil to the brand's flagship sports car. Design director last year Antony Villain told Autocar: “We want to do a 2+2 sports car, and of course some time in the past we had the A310, so we will bring together these two ideas as a first intention.
