Almost 10,000 families or 46,000 individuals have been affected by flood spawned by nonstop rain due to a shear line in the Northern Mindanao region, the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Region 10 (DSWD-10) said on Monday, Dec. 26.

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – Almost 10,000 families or 46,000 individuals have been affected by flood spawned by nonstop rain due to a shear line in the Northern Mindanao region, the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Region 10 said on Monday, Dec. 26.

The DSWD-10 said as of 12 a.m. Monday, 7,790 families or 37,097 individuals have been affected in the province of Misamis Oriental. In the province of Misamis Occidental, 1,905 families or 8,254 individuals from 35 barangays in the municipalities of Sinacaban, Clarin, Jimenez, Aloran, and Tudela and the cities of Ozamiz and Oroquieta have been affected.

A family of five was affected in Mambajao, Camiguin. No family or individual was affected or evacuated here.
