Rangers star Ally McCoist has quit the jungle with ITV bosses securing another legendary sportsman to take his place.
Rangers legend Ally McCoist will not be entering the I'm A Celebrity.. Get Me Out Of Here jungle after getting cold feet about taking part on the ITV show for the third time.
Speaking on TalkSPORT Breakfast last month, McCoist was asked by Jeff Stelling about whether his rumoured jungle appearance was true with the 62-year-old replying: "No – there’s your answer." McGuigan, who held major featherweight titles from 1983 to 1986 and was crowned BBC's Sports Personality of the Year in 1985, was also inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2005.
Reflecting on Amir Khan's 'embarrassing' performance during a Bushtucker Trial involving a snake, McGuigan had a laugh in 2017, saying: "He was a bit embarrassing on the first task but he made up for it last night."
