Experts say pollen levels from certain trees are already high and could get even higher this week.

But for some allergy sufferers, this could turn out to be a rough week, according to an expert fromHe says the level of tree pollen has started to rise in big numbers, and this week’s warm weather — with temperatures expected to climb into the 60s on Tuesday, 70s on Wednesday and close to 80 degrees on Thursday — could intensify the pollen that’s falling from trees and drifting through the air.“It’s only going to get increasingly worse as the weather gets warmer and drier,” said Dr. Marc F.

“There’s a biological rhythm of pollination,” he said. “Trees pollinate in early spring, grass pollen comes later on in the springtime. Then, in the middle of the summer there’s very little pollen in the air, but weeds and ragweed pollen come out.”AccuWeather “Weed pollen will dominate the entire East Coast as an increase in moisture and temperature creates a favorable environment for weeds to thrive,” AccuWeather said in its“In the Mid-Atlantic region, weed pollen levels are expected to pick up during the height of the summer,” it added. “In the Northeast, weed pollen levels will ramp up to higher-than-normal levels in the late summer and early fall months.

Some of the more severe symptoms could be sinus pressure or sinus infections, he said. In addition, people with asthma could experience wheezing if their air passages get inflamed.
