Magistrate Simon Smart said a medical report produced by Mr Parsons's oncologist at the Royal Adelaide Hospital showed he has less than 12 months to live. "He's been provided with hard food such as hot dogs and roasts which he's unable to swallow … he's had to survive on Weet-Bix at this stage," she said.Ms Shkambi said Magistrate Smart could have confidence that the accused would not reoffend under strict bail conditions, which would allow him to only leave his home to attend necessary medical treatment prescribed by his oncologist with his wife.
