PETALING JAYA: All Umno branch meetings nationwide have been postponed following the Covid-19 pandemic, says Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan.
The party secretary-general said the meetings of its 21,039 branches around the country, which started on Feb 15, are postponed to a date that will be determined later."All Umno events involving a lot of people are not encouraged and we advise for such events to be postponed as well," he said in a statement Monday .Earlier on Monday, the Registrar of Societies banned all societies from holding any activity, including their annual general meetings until the end of June.
The RoS said this was in line with a government directive to put off all gatherings and meetings for the moment.Article type: free
