Bus replacement services will be introduced on Sunday (January 15)
All trains are to be cancelled at Manchester Piccadilly to be replaced by buses, due to 'engineering works' on a train shed roof. The station will see all trains halted throughout Sunday .
The announcement was made on Monday evening , coming just days after train services across the country were hit by walkouts staged by 15 operators. The station went on to thank travellers for their patience ahead of the works being carried out. Manchester Piccadilly posted: "On Sunday 15 January buses will replace ALL trains from Manchester Piccadilly due to engineering works on our train shed roof. Please allow extra time for your journey and check before you travel. Thank you for your patience whilst these works are undertaken."
