A full state funeral will be held for The Queen on Monday, September 19 at 11am. That day has been declared a bank holiday, which has resulted in the closure of a number of attractions, businesses, shops, markets and places across Lancashire.
Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully on September 8 at her Balmoral residence. The longest-serving British monarch in history was 96. We will endeavour to update the below list when further major closures are announced and if you know of somewhere that is set to shut that is not included, please email [email protected] Blackpool Tower, Blackpool SeaLife Centre, Madame Tussauds Blackpool and Sandcastle Water Park, which are all owned and run by Merlin Entertainment, will shut on the ay of Her Majesty's funeral.
