The Great Scottish Run kicks off today, with multiple roads across the city expected to be inaccessible for the event across the weekend - here's all you need to know.
One of Glasgow's most eagerly anticipated events, The Great Scottish Run, begins today and will see passionate runners take to the city over the course of the weekend.
Though many are buzzing for the marathon to brace the city, there is expected to be some disruption to travel with a number of road closures in place to allow participants to take part safely. A total of 18 roads across Glasgow will be closed today as the competition gets underway. According to the Glasgow City Council website, the following roads will be closed:Saturday, September 30 - 5am to Sunday, October 1 - 4.30pm15.00pm on September 30 to 16.30pm on October 1 LW0145 - Argyle Street, , between, Hope Street and Union Street LW0138 - Glassford Street, , between Argyle Street and Ingram Street LW0630 - Gorbals Street, Victoria Bridge, , between Clyde Street and Norfolk Street.
