Broxtowe Borough Council has confirmed that it has suspended every single one of its planned bin collections due to disruption caused by snow. Heavy snow falling overnight on Monday caused disruption across Nottinghamshire , with several schools closed and train and bus passengers facing delays.
Broxtowe Borough Council has now confirmed that it went a step further by suspending all bin collections. The Labour-led authority confirmed in a statement: "Unfortunately due to the snow this morning, all waste and recycling collections have been suspended today. Those expecting a recycling or garden waste collection on Tuesday will now have their bins emptied on Saturday . The scheduled glass collection has been suspended until next month, meaning people are being advised to take glass to their nearest recycling bank.
