The draw for the Preliminary Quarter-final stage of this year's All-Ireland Senior Football Championship has been made.
Tyrone, who finished second in their group, will host Roscommon, with Derry, third place finishers in their group, travelling to face Mayo. The games will be played on 22 and 23 June, with the winners joining group winners Armagh, Dublin, Donegal and Kerry for the quarter-finals, which will be staged on 28-29 June.
The current set-up has been in place for the last two seasons but a return to the previous set up where where two losses would see you exit the competition is one being discussed with provincial bodies."The league is there as a development competition; it’s seven games and it allows teams to make incremental developments and improvements.
"The championship should have jeopardy, it should be more of a blunt instrument. The clue is in the title of the competition, the championship is there to get champions.
