Max Verstappen dominated the opening race of the season in Bahrain and is poised to grab another victory this afternoon in Saudi Arabia
The Dutchman led his team-mate Sergio Pérez home in a comfortable Red Bull one-two finish, but is expecting Jeddah to present a much tougher challenge.
This is expected to reduce speeds by about 50km/h. The reigning world champion is hoping that the alterations will improve visibility in today’s 50-lap race: “The track changes that have been made are mainly for visibility. So, hopefully, it has improved things a bit for us drivers, as it was definitely dangerous in some areas.”
After the Scuderia’s shortcomings on track, its star driver Leclerc reportedly looked for a one-to-one meeting with Ferrari president John Elkann after the 25-year-old came away from Bahrain with zero points.
